Sun Studio

Sun Studio has had many famous musicians walk through its doors. It’s tough to know where to begin with all the history here! It started in 1950 with the first rock and roll song ever, “Rocket 88” by Jackie Brenston and his Delta Cats. They call it “The Birthplace of Rock and Roll” because big stars like Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Johnny Cash recorded here.
