No matter how we feel about clubs of various types, society is conventionally divided into two parts: those who accept – those who live the club life and they like it, those who despise – those who believe that people who go to nightclubs are completely degraded and empty: they “drink away” their money, pick up a girl/find a “wallet” and so on… This is an eternal dilemma, but the truth, as always, lies somewhere in the middle.
A Shoko nightclub is a public establishment, usually open after 21:00, intended for free time, usually for young people.
Usually, clubs have a bar, a dance floor, and a chill-out – a place where you can sit in a quiet environment with calmer music. Barcelona clubs often have a dress code and face control. There is no special uniform format for clubs since each club specializes in its target audience of visitors.
Nightclubs, which appeared in Barcelona in the nineties of the 20th century, are still assessed controversially by public opinion. On the one hand, nightclubs appear as a new and unusual environment for personal expression. On the other hand, a nightclub appears to be a deviant form of leisure associated with drunkenness, drug use, and the prevalence of casual sex. From this point of view, the nature of the activities carried out in nightclubs is still being studied.
The entrance hall
Let’s not deny that everyone, visiting Shoko nightclub, really understands that this is a place where you can become the center of everyone’s attention, or rather the object of intense sexual interest. For example, girls go there “just to dance,” but one way or another, they cannot help but scroll through their heads about the best way to exalt themselves that evening. It is foolish to think that our fair half, going there, will try to hide their attractiveness, and not emphasize it. Strengthening its attractiveness is precisely the external form of the club. Well, as for young people, it makes no sense at all to even assume that someone can be pursued with good goals. Everyone wants to “hit the jackpot” this evening. After all, the essence of any nightclub is sex on the verge of a foul. This does not mean that everyone does it, rather they simply mean it, but the person chooses for himself which path to follow.
Still… let’s take a look at the Barcelona clubs from the inside, and maybe we will be able to tip the scales in the other direction, or at least balance it.
- A ticket to heaven
- Clubbing.
A dance party, a mass disco where various DJs perform, for all these club movements there is a single and completely conditioned concept – clubbing. This phenomenon did not originate today – it has been known since the advent of clubs and club music. The main meaning of this word lies in people who dance, who feel the rhythm and submit to it.
Over its history, clubbing has already gone through two formations. The first stage in the development of Barcelona clubbing was associated with the fact that it represented a culture. This is where the term came from – club culture, which acquired its models and ways of broadcasting them – this is music, DJs, big raves, clothing style, lifestyle, and nightlife, with a corresponding mentality.
But today clubbing is entering a new state. Now it is increasingly becoming a full-fledged social practice. Club recreation is engaged in the cultivation of a certain type of state, which is not reproduced in all other social phenomena. After all, a club is a place where everyone can behave the way they like, feel confident and carefree, and forget about all their problems. At the same time, visitors to this kind of establishment know that no one will judge them, because everyone is not interested in knowing who you are, who you work with, and what you do. After all, the main thing is dance and music, and besides these concepts, nothing else exists.
