2. Norfolk Mermaids

One of the best things about Norfolk is the mermaids that can be all over town! Introduced in 1999 by local bronze sculptor Kevin Gallup, they may now be across the city, despite the initial placement of 130. I observed them throughout the city, such as beside the river and in front of museums. If you would like to see every single one feasible, go to the town’s web page, and you may see a map that’s interactive showing them individually.

7. Norfolk Coffee Shop

One of the nicest things to do in Norfolk is visit one of its fantastic coffee shops. Cure Coffeehouse and Equinox Coffee Co. are two highly-rated eateries. But, on my most recent trip, I discovered Vessel Craft Coffee and have become fascinated with it as well! It’s a fantastic area to spend a few hours. Both Norfolk and Smithfield have coffee shops.

8. Discover Ghent

Ghent is one of Norfolk’s cutest areas, but there’s something about it that I adore. You have a historic area and a more modern region… But, both are with independent stores and restaurants. Other great Ghent companies include the Catnip Cat Cafe (which I cover in my guide), Kobros Coffee Shop, and Pendulum Fine Meats. Crudo Nudo is also on my agenda for my next visit, but, they were while I was there lately.
